Description:

Role Summary: A highly specialized quantitative role responsible for the financial stability, risk assessment, and long-term solvency of the insurance company.

  • Key Responsibilities: Uses advanced statistical and mathematical models to assess financial risks. Calculates appropriate policy premiums and designs new insurance products. Forecasts future liabilities (claims) and ensures the company holds adequate reserves as mandated by IRDAI (Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India).

  • Ed. Qualification: Fellow or Associate membership of the Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI). Must possess a Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or Finance.

  • Experience: Minimum 5–10 years of experience in life or general insurance valuation and risk modeling is essential.

  • Age Limit: Typically 30–45 Years (Minimum experience requirement applies).

  • Selection Process: IAI Qualification Verification. Experience Review. Interview (Advanced Quantitative Skills and Risk Theory). Background Check.
