Description:

Role Summary: The branch head responsible for the entire operation, finance, mail distribution, and staff management of a major post office.

  • Key Responsibilities: Manages the staff, oversees mail processing and distribution (letters, parcels). Ensures successful sale of financial products (savings, insurance). Manages cash security, daily accounting, and handles complex customer complaints and administrative reporting.

  • Ed. Qualification: Graduation from a recognized university.

  • Experience: 3–5 years of supervisory experience in postal, banking, or financial operations is often required for direct recruitment or promotion.

  • Age Limit: Typically 28–35 Years (for direct recruitment).

  • Selection Process: Departmental Promotion Exam (for existing employees) OR Direct Recruitment through SSC/PSC. Written Exam (Banking, Administration, Postal Manual). Interview.
