Description:

Role Summary: The senior executive head of a major zone, managing all aspects of water sourcing, treatment, storage, transmission, and overall planning.

  • Key Responsibilities: Planning major capacity expansion projects (new pipelines, reservoirs). Managing large operational budgets and financial accountability for the zone. Ensuring strict compliance with potable water quality standards. Providing technical and administrative leadership to all departmental engineers and staff.

  • Ed. Qualification: B.Tech/B.E. in Civil/Environmental Engineering. Must usually hold a Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Water Resources).

  • Experience: Minimum 12–18 years of progressive experience in water supply systems, with at least 5 years at the Executive Engineer level.

  • Age Limit: Typically 40–55 Years (Senior Executive Post).

  • Selection Process: Promotion/Deputation from State Engineering Service. Board Interview (focusing on Water Resource Management and Policy). Confidential Report Assessment.
