Role Summary: A clinician specialized in a specific field (e.g., Cardiology, Surgery, Paediatrics) responsible for advanced diagnosis and treatment of complex cases.
Key Responsibilities: Provides specialized consultation and diagnosis. Performs complex surgical or interventional procedures (as applicable to the specialty). Supervises resident doctors and junior medical staff. Contributes to departmental research and teaching programs.
Ed. Qualification: MBBS + MD/MS or DNB in the relevant specialty. Must be registered with the Medical Council of India (MCI)/National Medical Commission (NMC).
Experience: 3–7 years of post-specialization clinical experience (Senior Residency/Fellowship) is often required for appointment.
Age Limit: 30–45 Years (For initial appointment).
Selection Process: Written Examination (Clinical Domain). Clinical Interview (Assessing expertise and case handling). Verification of Academic Credentials and Surgical Logbooks.
