Role Summary: Responsible for the continuous operation, monitoring, and control of the power generation equipment from the central control room.

 

  • Key Responsibilities: Works from the Central Control Room (CCR), executing 24/7 monitoring and control of plant equipment. Adjusts critical parameters (fuel, water, steam flow), monitors output levels, and executes complex switchgear operations. A critical duty is responding immediately to alarms or malfunctions to ensure grid supply stability.

  • Ed. Qualification: B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a specialized ITI/Diploma in Power Plant Engineering/Operation.

  • Experience: 1–5 years of documented operating experience in a relevant power plant (Thermal, Hydro, or Renewable source).Final Note: This high-stakes operational role requires intense focus and technical knowledge, as any misstep can lead to massive power grid disruptions or equipment damage.

  • Selection Process: Written Technical Test (Generation Concepts, Thermodynamics) Practical Skill Test or Simulation (of control room operations and emergency handling)  Interview  Medical Fitness Test.
