Role Summary: A technical enforcement officer who inspects vehicles for mechanical fitness, structural integrity, and adherence to safety and emission standards.
Key Responsibilities: Conducts physical inspections of all vehicles (especially commercial and public transport) to verify mechanical fitness and safety standards. Authorized to issue Fitness Certificates and impound non-compliant vehicles. Assists RTO during licensing tests and investigates major road accidents from a technical perspective.
Ed. Qualification: Diploma (3 years) or Degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering. Must hold a valid Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) driving license.
Experience: 2–5 years of documented experience in auto maintenance, surveying, or enforcement is typical.
Age Limit: 25–35 Years.
Selection Process: Written Technical Test (Automobile/Motor Vehicle Act). Practical Inspection Test (Mandatory). Interview (Technical Scrutiny).
